Police & Central Paramilitary Force Jointly Raids.

To ensure free, fair, peaceful and violence free General Election to Tripura Legislative Assembly, 2023 the Election commission has taken various stricts measures all over the State. In joint operation conducted by the Special Surveillance team made major bust today.

      During checking at Madhuban police Naka point under Sonamura PS of Sepahijala district three persons namely Munir Hussain of Kalapania, Juel Ahmed and Iqbal Ahmed of Aralia have been arrested along with Rs.9.5 lakh. During checking at the Naka point of Kishoreganj under Kakraban PS of Gomati district police under the leadership of Bappi Dey SPO Kakraban PS along with Central Paramilitary force recovered Rs.5.14 lakh from an auto rickshaw.

      On the other hand, during a mobile operation under the leadership of Raju Datta, OC, Chawmanu PS along with Central Paramilitary force seized 15 cartoons of foreign liquor (310 bottles) from a car. The market value of illicit liquor is Rs.37,200. But unfortunately the driver ran away left behind the car.

      Yesterday, police personnel under the leadership of Khagendra Debbarma, SDFO, Sadar destroyed 7500 plants of cannabis cultivated in 3plots of total 25 Kani patta land of East Simna ADC village. The market value of 7500 ganja plants is Rs.3.57 crore. Specific NDPS cases have been registered in the concern PS and the further investigation is going on.
