Police Recovered Heroin Worth 10 Crore.

North District Police has again achieved great success in its anti-narcotics campaign. Churaibari police arrested three traffickers with heroin worth ten crore rupees under the leadership of the District Superintendent of Police. In the incident, today i.e. Monday around 6:30 am a sumo vehicle number MN01AK-3139 from Assam was entering Tripura when it arrived at Churaibari Police’s Naka point led by Superintendent of Police Bhanu Pada  Chakraborty, the vehicle was seized and this huge amount of heroin came out from it.  The Superintendent of Police said that 100 soap boxes contained a total of 1 kg and 300 grams of illegal heroin with a black market value of Rs 10 crore. 

Meanwhile, two other traffickers along with the driver of the car were arrested.  The arrested trio have been identified as Abdul Ali (28) father Abdul Latif, resident of Rahimpur area of ​​Tripura’s Sepahijala district, Samar Krishna Das (27) father Manik Das resident of Madhya Baxnagar in the same district and Prasenjit Das (23) father Tapan Das resident of Baluchar.  The police made a preliminary inquiry and registered a case under the NDPS Act and kept them in custody.  Meanwhile, today they will be handed over to the district court and later on remand, the police will find out more important information.
