The counting of votes for the General Election to Tripura Legislative Assembly – 2023 will be done on 2nd March, 2023 amid tight security. The Election Commission has taken various steps across the state to make General Election to Tripura Legislative Assembly – 2023 fair, free, peaceful and violence free. Today, on 1.3.2023, a huge consignment of 1202 kg of dry Cannabis (Ganja) was seized by the Tripura Police during Naka checking at Ganganagar under Dhalai district, which estimated value was said to be Rs.3.5 crores.
On the basis of the secret information received by the police, two vehicles going from Gandachra to Assam have been seized by the police during Naka checking in Ganganagar, in which a car and a 6 tire truck. 105 kg dry Ganja in car registration number TR01BK0723 and 1097 kg dry Ganja in truck registration number DL1GC4808 have been seized and four people including the driver involved have been detained. The police have registered this entire matter under the NDPS Act and further legal action is going on.
