Dharmanagar, Tripura, 16th of May 2026 : On Friday (16th May, 2026), the Dharmanagar Youth Congress organized a protest rally and public demonstration at the base of the Netaji statue near Kalidighi in Dharmanagar, North Tripura, against the alleged leak of the NEET-UG 2026 examination question paper and corruption in the education system.

A protest march was taken out through various parts of the town, and later an effigy of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan was burnt.The protesters alleged that repeated incidents of question paper leaks are putting the future of millions of students across the country in uncertainty.
They demanded an immediate impartial investigation and strict punishment for those responsible.The program was attended by Shahnawaz Khan, General Secretary of the Tripura Pradesh Youth Congress and a prominent advocate. Leaders of the North District Youth Congress, local organization members, and many party workers and supporters also took part in the protest.During the demonstration, youth leaders stated that the central government must take a more responsible role in preventing corruption and question paper leaks in the education sector. They also warned that they would not allow the future of students to be played with.
