Khowai, Tripura, 27th of July, 2026 : A review meeting on the progress of various ongoing developmental works in Khowai district was held today at the conference hall of the District Magistrate’s office under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Tinku Roy.

Addressing the meeting, Minister Tinku Roy emphasised completing all ongoing developmental works within the stipulated timeframe. He stated that better coordination between the administration and elected representatives would help accelerate the district’s overall development. He also urged officials to discharge their duties with transparency, dedication, and a strong commitment to public service. The meeting began with a welcome address by District Magistrate Rajat Panth, who presented a detailed PowerPoint presentation on the progress of various development projects underway in the district. District-level officials from different departments subsequently briefed the gathering on the implementation status of projects under their respective departments.
Public representatives present at the meeting shared their views on several important issues. They said that departments should implement development projects transparently and maintain regular coordination with elected representatives so that the benefits reach the people more effectively and without delay.

Among those present were Tripura Legislative Assembly Chief Whip and MLA Kalyani Saha Roy, MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury, MLA Ranjit Debbarma, Khowai Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Aparna Singha Roy, MDC Utpal Debbarma, MDC Rajeshwar Debbarma, MDC Prasamit Debbarma, and MDC James Debbarma. Chairpersons of the Khowai and Teliamura Municipal Councils, Chairpersons of the Khowai, Teliamura, and Kalyanpur Panchayat Samitis, and Chairpersons of the advisory committees of Teliamura, Kalyanpur, Mungiakami, Padmabil, and Khowai Blocks were also present
The meeting was also attended by Special Secretary of the Social Welfare and Social Education Department Tapan Das, District Magistrate Rajat Panth, District Forest Officer Ashok Kumar, Additional District Magistrates Abhedananda Baidya and Abhijit Chakraborty, Sub-Divisional Magistrates of Khowai and Teliamura, BDOs of all six blocks of the district, and officials from various government departments were also present at the meeting
