A reckless driving biker has hit an old lady on Teliamura-Amarpur road here in Twichakma village under Ampinagar RD block this evening. The bike bearing number- TR03 L8891 was coming from Taidu to Ampi on high speed and hit the old woman named Mangalshree Debbarma (54) and made her seriously injured. The seriously injured lady was brought to Ampi CHC for immediate treatment. As per the hospital report, she has critical injury as the bike ran over her so the CHC authority has referred her to GB hospital for proper medical treatment. Local sources said that the biker was in intoxicated condition. The bike has been seized by the police including the biker of Ampi PS. The PS authority is investigating the case.
