Road Woes Hit Severely To Indigenous Villagers.

Amarpur, 16th of June  2024 : Due to worst condition of the most useful road the villagers of Gandaek Para, Nupagrumva, Sontang and adjacent areas at Taidu under Ampi block are suffering too much in this rainy season. All villagers are the worst victim for road woes since the left era. As per the report, the PWD road from Twidu to Gandaek Para about several km distance of this road is in horrible condition at present. The carpeting of the road is washed away; it is full of potholes including uncountable pits and uneven state. The dilapidated state of the road is creating critical problem for the local pedestrians and vehicles. In some places rain water occupies the entire road widely; road appeared as a big pool. Some local inhabitants of the areas have raised strong allegation over the concerned PWD authority for not  taking any initiative for renovation this fearful road. Pedestrians and all kinds of vehicles can not approach at all. Due to not having drainage system water standing on the main road. Rain water does not find way to pass and large water body is in the middle of the road remains for hours.

Some local villagers said,  “We are the worst victim of this dilapidated road. We face dangerous problem every day to walk and drive vehicles on this damaged road. Due to broken condition of the road it is very risky for vehicle movement. In this rainy season we face fearful condition on this muddy road. Rain water stands here and there in uncountable pits; due to not having carpeting in many places rain water generates heaps of mud. As well as for not having drainage management rain water flows along the damage road and accelerating its condition more critical. Local students are facing acute problem to go to school. We have appealed to the concerned authority to do maintenance the road many times but nobody takes us seriously and neglected us. If the road is not renovated just after this monsoon then we will have boundless sufferings in coming days.”

As soon as possible the concerned authority must take proper step to provide relief the victim villagers. The concerned authority must visit the road and interact with the local indigenous people to take an appropriate step for solving this communication problem, demanded  the local indigenous people of the locality.
