Sonamura, Tripura, 21st of July, 2026 : On specific information of the Sonamura police secret operation conducted raid and search at UNC Nagar ward no -03 under Sonamura PS, Tripura on Monday (20th July, 2026).
According to sources, Sonamura Police conducted jointly Sonamura PS, 81 BN BSF and 11th BN TSR raid and search early morning on the basis of secret information conducted raid and search at UNC Nagar ward no -03 under Sonamura PS, in the dwelling house of one drug paddler and recovered and seized total 146 no,s Eskuf cough syrup. In this regard one specific case registered at Sonamura PS under NDPS act -1985.
The house owner and his associate were arrested and forwarded in the LD court with police remand prayer, after observing all legal formalities.
The destination market value of the seized Cough Syrup is approximately to be 1 Lakh 46 thousand.
Interacted with media Inspector Tapas Das, Officer in Charge Sonamura Police Station gave details about this matter. OC also stated that such operations against illegal contrabands would continue next day.
