Sonamura, Tripura, 24th of August, 2024 : The recent floods that devastated the entire Tripura has left countless individuals and families in dire need of support. Amidst the chaos and destruction, BSF has emerged as a beacon of hope, providing critical relief efforts which include distribution of fresh water, medical supplies and laying of sandbags to prevent further water damage to houses.

A press statement from BSF stated that on the line of humanitarian service, BSF’s 81 battalion, in a collaborative effort with the local population of village Durgapur and NC Nagar in Sonamura under Sepahijala district built temporary blocks by using plastic sandbags to prevent water ingress into these villages, located close to the Indo-Bangla border.
