State Commissions, Protection Of Child Rights Plays An Important Role In Rape Cases At Teliamura.

Teliamura, 18th of February 2024 : Despite strict laws in the country, the illegal incidence of rape and abduction is not reducing in the state. A few days ago, the torture of small girls in Teliamura police station area was broadcasted in various media on Saturday. It is known that a youth named Sagar Marak of Teliamura police station tortured two small girls of his neighboring house. When the victim two small girl childs told the matter to her family members, her family members filed a written case against Sagar Marak, who was responsible for the incident at Teliamura police station. Teliamura police registered a case under Sections 354(B), 506 IPC and 4 of Pocso Act as usual.

However, after taking over the case, the police did not take any action. Later, the State Commissions, Protection of Child Rights by the news of various media. State Commissions, Protection of Child Rights Chairperson Jayanthi Debbarma and member Sharmila Chowdhury went to Teliamura police station on Sunday morning and asked Sagar Marak, the accused, to arrest and take legal action. After that, the police of Teliamura Police Station started to arrest the accused Sagar Marak after being bullied by the State Commissions, Protection of Child Rights. Teliamura Police, along with the Chairperson of Rajshah State Commissions, Protection of Child Rights visited the house of the two victims and spoke to their family members and strongly condemned such heinous incident.

Apart from that, the victim has assured the family members of the two child girls that the accused will never escape from the law. The State Commissions, Protection of Child Rights will always stand by the girl’s family. Sources said, the police of Teliamura police station has spread everywhere to arrest accused Sagar Marak in the activities of State Commissions, Protection of Child Rights.
