Agartala, 5th of March 2024 : State Government announced 5% Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) for State Government employees & pensioners with effect from January 1, 2024.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha announced this in the budget at Fourth Session of the Thirteenth Tripura Legislative Assembly at Assembly Bhawan on Tuesday (5th March, 2024). The Chief Minister said in the Assembly that the State Government will spend an additional 500 crore rupees annually to pay the 5 percent Dearness allowance. 1 lakh 6 thousand 932 employees and 82 thousand pensioners will benefit from this. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha also added that Government has already given 20 percent dearness allowance in 3 installments after coming to power. Dearness allowance of 3 percent was announced on 1/03/2021, 5 percent on 1/07/2022 and 12 percent on 1/12/2022. Even in the Corona situation in the state, the State Government has given dearness allowance of 3 percent to the Government employees and pensioners.
