Teliamura Police Station Arrested The Accused And Two Accomplices Of The Main Smuggler.

Teliamura, 18th of May, 2024 : The Teliamura Police Station has arrested accused of cannabis smuggling and two accomplices of the main smuggler from the capital. According to the details of the incident, on the night of the 12th of this month, the Teliamura police station were able to arrest four people along with E-Rickshaws (TomTom) and cannabis for the crime of being involved in cannabis smuggling. The next day demanded remand from the court and the court granted the remand. After interrogating those accused, Teliamura police got a clue of cannabis suppliers from them and a team led by Sukanta Sen Chowdhury, second officer of Teliamura police station, conducted a search last night in Shantipara of capital Agartala. From there, two youths were arrested and brought to Teliamura police station at night.

Interacting with the media Sukanta Sen Chowdhury, Second Officer of Teliamura Police Station said that the two arrested youths used to send youths from different areas from the capital to cannabis Teliamura railway station by small cars or E-Rickshaws. Sometimes they used to smuggle to foreign countries through the youth of the state. He also said that the police are trying to arrest the smugglers using that source. He also said that the arrested two youths will be presented in court and remand will be demanded. One of the two arrested in the funeral was from Teliamura but was running this illegal business from the capital. Another person’s house is said to be somewhere in Agartala. The police arrested the accused in the previous days as well. But there are very few examples of the proportional rate of arrest of the supplier or the main smuggler. Such action of the police is naturally appreciated in various circles.
