Sabroom,Tripura, 7th of September, 2026 : A tragic road accident on National Highway 8 in Satchand claimed three dead and left three others serious injured following a head-on collision between two bikes on Sunday (6th September, 2026).
According to report, three people lost their lives in the accident and three others seriously injured in a horrific road accident near the Dasharath Deb Memorial School in the Satchand area along the Sabroom-Agartala National Highway. The tragic accident occurred on Sunday evening when two motorcycles collided head-on. The injured victims were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The impact of the collision was so severe that the motorcycle rider were thrown onto the road and sustained serious injuries. Local residents quickly reached the spot, rescued the injured and took them to the Kalachhara Primary Health Centre. The doctor on duty there declared three of them dead.
According to police, the three victims who died in the accident have been identified. The deceased were identified as Mukesh Tripura, Sani Dewan Tripura, and Sanjib Tripura. While Sani Dewan Tripura and Sanjib Tripura were from Garifa, Mukesh Tripura was a resident of Baishnabpur.
Among the injured, one person has been identified as Prahar Tripura, while the identities of the two other injured women are still unknown. Considering their serious condition, both were referred to Shantirbazar District Hospital for advanced medical care.
Police rushed to the accident site after receiving information about the incident and began investigating the cause. An inquiry is underway to determine how the two motorcycles collided head-on.
A deep sense of sorrow gripped Satchand following the tragic road accident. The Kalachhara Health Centre witnessed scenes of grief as relatives mourned the victims. The families of those who lost their lives were left devastated by the tragedy. Police are still investigating the circumstances that led to the fatal collision.
