Teliamura, Tripura, 7th of September, 2026 : The nomination filing process for Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance (TIPRA) Motha party candidates in the upcoming elections to the 14 Village Councils (VCs) under Mungiakami Block is progressing in full swing. Last Saturday, in the presence of MDC Utpal Debbarma, Tipra Motha’s nominated candidates filed their nomination papers for nearly 50% of the seats across the 14 VCs.
On Monday, the nomination filing process gained further momentum as the deadline approached. On the day, TIPRA Motha’s nominated candidates filed their nomination papers for nearly 90% of the seats across the 14 Village Councils under Mungiakami Block. In the presence of party workers and supporters, the candidates submitted their nomination papers following the prescribed procedures.

According to the party, efforts are being made to further strengthen the organisation across all constituencies and reach out to voters ahead of the Village Council elections. The nomination filing on Monday was marked by strong participation and enthusiasm among TIPRA Motha leaders, workers and supporters in the Mungiakami Block area.
After approximately 50% of the nominations were filed last Saturday, the percentage rose significantly to nearly 90% on Monday. MDC Utpal Debbarma informed that preparations are in progress to complete the nomination filing for the remaining seats within the stipulated period.
