Unsystematic NH Construction Created Great Woes.

Ampi, Tripura, 30th of May 2025 : Inhabitants of Ampi Nagar Colony have raised strong allegation over the NH construction agency for their informal national high way construction implementation. Due to big heaps of loose soil kept here and there generated heavy harassment for the villagers residing closed to the construction side.

Many families living in Ampi Nagar Colony are facing constant obstacle for their daily movement. Local roads and paths which are used for daily movement have been blocked with construction loose soil. The road from Ampi to Bishkilo became a death trap here in Ampi colony where the NH crossed it. The high way construction agency has created great inconvenient for the local auto drivers and other vehicles. The high way crossing point is very erect, they just have thrown loose soil on the old road but did not make it suitable for vehicles movement and now after heavy rain it has become very precipitous; too much muddy & slippery. Villagers from Doctor Singh Para, Konaram Para, Gamagur and other adjacent areas are using this road for their daily communication. Drivers are unable to control their vehicles on this erect and muddy road. Vehicles are falling into ditch. For not maintaining proper rain water passing canal by the concerned agency rain water is logging here and there and creating larger dirty water body.

If it rains more suddenly soil collapses and dirty rain water with mud directly enters into villagers’ house and damages all kinds of household articles. Many former rain water canal have been blocked by the high way construction loose soil. The concerned agency must concentrate over the innocent villagers suffering and take proper initiative to keep those families safe closed to NH construction side and lead the project implementation in formal way that no family can become victim for national high way construction, demand the local villagers.
