Various Programmes Held In Dharmanagar On VHP Foundation Day.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 6th of September, 2026 : Various programmes were organised in Dharmanagar to mark the Foundation Day of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP). As part of the celebrations, a drawing competition was held on Sunday at Dharmanagar PM Shri Higher Secondary Girls’ School. Along with the school students, children and teenagers from different age groups also participated in the competition. Their enthusiasm and excitement added vibrancy to the event.

The competition, organised around themes related to Sanatan Dharma, Indian culture and heritage, provided participants an opportunity to express their creative ideas through colours and brushes. The use of vibrant colours and the imaginative expressions of the young artists through their paintings drew the attention of those present.Various office-bearers and functionaries of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad were present at the programme. The organisation has undertaken several programmes in Dharmanagar to mark its Foundation Day, including a ‘Sanatani Procession’. Earlier, on September 4, a procession and a ‘Krishna Sajo’ programme were also organised. Sunday’s drawing competition was held as part of the same series of programmes, VHP officials said.

According to the organisers, such initiatives aim to generate interest among the younger generation in Indian culture, heritage and values while also encouraging the creative talents of children and teenagers. They said that such programmes are important not only for cultural awareness but also for promoting creativity beyond religious activities.The competition was conducted in four categories. The top ten participants from each category were awarded prizes. The event witnessed considerable enthusiasm among the children and teenagers, as well as their parents.
