Amarpur, Tripura, 27th of April 2026 : Due to constant road woes several Jamatia dominated villages in Chechua & Melsi VCs under Ampi Nagar RD block in Gomati Tripura are in great distress; they are facing very difficulties in their daily movement for dilapidated road condition. As per the report from the local inhabitants, the road from NH 208 to Garjan Para via Krishna Nagar about six km distance is in horrible state for last many years. The poor villagers had appealed to the concerned authority to do maintenance on this road but there is no initiative has been taken till the date.

Due to broken and collapsed state of the distance villagers fear to drive on this road. Even pedestrians are facing troublesome situation to walk through this damaged road. Sources said, after rain specially at night there is dangerous circumstance appear for all as any time there may occur unexpected critical accident.

A senior citizen of Garjan Para said, “Election comes and goes; political leaders appear just in the eve of election for asking vote but after the accomplishment of election all leaders disappear. They do nothing for us and as a consequence years after years we are the worst victims of road woes.” The local inhabitants of Chechua, Garjan Para, Krishna Nagar and all adjacent areas demanded immediate road renovation to have relief from their decades long suffering for communication. The concerned authority must visit the areas and take a quick initiative for these deprived villagers.
