Under the aegis of IG CRPF Tripura Sector and initiative taken by Shri Ram Palat, Commandant of 71 Bn CRPF organized a Mitti collection drive “Amrit Kalash Yatra” which is a part of Meri Mitti Mera Desh” campaign of commemoration Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav today on 25″ September 2023 in co-ordination with Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) through which Mitti has been collected from the dwelling house of Saheed Constable/Gd Adhin Debbarma at Nepal bari village, under PS-Jirania, West Tripura district and another Saheed LNK Bimal Debbarma of Kaiya Chand Bari village, under PS-Jirania, West Tripura District, who has sacrificed their life during the service for the nation. The said campaign is conducted in the present of local bodies, civil public, NGO along with force personnel with full enthusiastic mode. This programme is to be continued till October-2023 by 71 Bn in other parts of West Tripura, Khowai as well as Sepahijala districts. The purpose of Mitti collection is as a symbolic contribution and expression of people’s participation towards the creation of an Amrit Vatika in Delhi where collected all the Mitti should be sent in Delhi from all over the India before 28 October 2023 and programme will be held on 28″ October 2023 with the creation of memorial sign.
