Agartala, Tripura, 2nd of August, 2026 : Swadeshi Jagaran Manch, in collaboration with the Swavalambi Bharat Abhiyan, is set to launch a nationwide digital campaign titled “Main Bhi Swadeshi Samarthak” (I Am Also a Supporter of Swadeshi) from 1st August to 20th August 2026.
The primary objective of the campaign is to strengthen the vision of a self-reliant India (Atmanirbhar Bharat) by connecting youth, women, students, entrepreneurs, traders, and people from all sections of society with the ideals of the Swadeshi movement.
CA Ratan Kumar Das, Regional Public Relations Head of Swadeshi Jagaran Manch for Northeast India, informed that the campaign was formally launched on Saturday (1st August, 2026) from Lok Bhavan in Agartala by the Hon’ble Governor of Tripura.
He stated that the campaign will be conducted entirely through digital platforms. Maximum public participation will be encouraged through DVC registration, social media outreach, QR code-based registration, and online public engagement initiatives.
Every individual participating in this campaign will be provided with a digital “Swadeshi Supporter” certificate as a mark of their participation.
He emphasized that Swadeshi is not merely an economic policy, but a strong foundation for nation-building. By giving preference to locally made products, promoting Indian industries, and supporting indigenous enterprises, India can become socially and economically stronger, more self-reliant, and truly self-sufficient.
Under the “Main Bhi Swadeshi Samarthak” (I Am Also a Supporter of Swadeshi) campaign, participants will take the following pledges:
1. I will give priority to buying and promoting local and Swadeshi products in my daily life.
2. I will work to adopt and promote Swadeshi languages, traditional attire, indigenous lifestyles, and the values of the joint family system.
3. I will encourage the younger generation to embrace the principle that entrepreneurship, innovation, and self-employment are the keys to achieving self-reliance and creating quality employment opportunities for youth.
4. I will stand with and extend my wholehearted support to the patriotic forces working towards the vision of making India prosperous and great.
5. Rising above differences of caste, language, and ideology, I will work to uphold the unity and integrity of the nation, promote the ideals of Swadeshi, and contribute to the overall development of the country.
He also stated that a massive public awareness programme will be conducted across all districts of Tripura, with a target of connecting around 5 lakh people with this online pledge initiative.
He appealed to all residents of Tripura to participate in large numbers in the “Main Bhi Swadeshi Samarthak” campaign and help transform the Swadeshi spirit into a mass movement.
Present on the occasion along with CA Ratan Kumar Das were Prant Sanyojak Shri Shivaji Bose, Co-coordinator Indrajit Deb, and other dignitaries.
