Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha Inaugurates B Division league Football Tournament 2025-26.

Agartala, Tripura, 8th of June, 2025 : With the initiative of State Tripura Football association organized opening and inaugural ceremony of B Division league Football Tournament 2025-26 at Umakanta Mini Stadium, Agartala, Tripura on Sunday (8th June, 2025). In the In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha kicked off the B Division league Football Tournament 2025-26.

Today, the B Division Club League Football Tournament began with a match between Aikatan Yuba Sangstha and Skylark Club .

Interacted with the media Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that there is no dearth of talented sportspersons in the state. Modern sports infrastructure is needed to take the state forward in the field of sports. The current government of the state is implementing various plans with emphasis on the overall development of the sports sector.

The Chief Minister also added that sports help the players to develop physically and mentally as well as to be disciplined. It also plays an important role in keeping the young generation away from drug addiction and building a healthy society. The State Government has been working by taking many programs to develop sports infrastructure to enhance the skills of the athletes. Now, there is also the facility of playing at night under floodlights. This has encouraged the athletes of the state.

Amidst the distinguished dignitaries participants there were Director of Information and Cultural Affairs Department Bimbisar Bhattacharya, Director of the Youth Affairs and Sports Department Satya Brata Nath, President of the Tripura Football Association Pranab Sarkar and many other distinguished dignitaries were present in the opening and inaugural ceremony.
