Chief Minister Of Tripura Dr. Manik Saha Inaugurates Blood Donation Camp.

Agartala, Tripura, 8th of January, 2026 : With the initiative of Swasthya Bivagiya Karmachari Brinda & Tripura Govt. Homeopathic Doctors’ Association organized Voluntary Blood Donation Camp at Agartala Government Nursing College, IGM Hospital, Agartala, Tripura on Thursday (8th January, 2026).

In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.

Addressing at the inaugural ceremony of Voluntary Blood Donation Camp Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that Blood donation is not merely a ceremonial activity—it is a great opportunity to uphold the values of humanity. Blood has no caste or religion, and there is no substitute for blood. Through voluntary blood donation, we not only save lives but also strengthen human values.

The Chief Minister said that prevention is better than cure, and with this perspective in mind, the State Government has been working by identifying healthcare as a priority sector. Through the integration of modern hospitals, advanced medical equipment, contemporary healthcare services, skilled healthcare staff, and doctors, the present government is making sustained efforts to strengthen Tripura’s healthcare system. Initiatives are also being taken to make the state’s hospitals more people-friendly and modern. Ensuring access to healthcare for marginalized sections of society is one of the key objectives of this Government.Highlighting on the event, the Chief Minister remarked that it is due to the positive thinking of the present government that a dental college could be established in the state within a very short time. He further said that the state is currently moving forward in every sector, including health, education, tourism, and connectivity. The present government is advancing on the path of development by ensuring equal dignity for people of all communities, including tribal and non-tribal sections. The people are now able to feel and realize the overall development of the state. This is a people’s government and a development-oriented government.

Chief Minister expressed hope that with everyone’s cooperation, Tripura will continue to move forward on the path of progress. The Chief Minister also appealed to everyone to come forward and participate in blood donation.

Social activist Shyamal Kumar Deb delivered a welcome address at the inaugural session of the event. Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were, Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and MLA Dipak Majumder, Subal Bhowmik, and Deputy MS of GBP Hospital Dr. Kanak Chowdhury many other dignitaries were present at the event.
