Closing Ceremony Of Good Governance Campaign (Prati Ghare Sushason).

On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, the State Government launched a two-and-a-half months long campaign on Good Governance in every household was launched on September 17, 2022. The Good Governance in every household campaign (Prati Ghare Sushason) was launched to bring the benefits of flagship schemes of the Central Government and the State Government to the door steps of the people from the district to the Gram Panchayat level. In this campaign, the benefits of various schemes and services of the Central and State Governments are also conveyed to the people. It concluded today on December 25, the birthday of late former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The closing ceremony of Good Governance was held at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan, Agartala on Sunday (25th December, 2022). Good Governance Day is also observed today on the birthday of late former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. In the event, the guests paid homage to late former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

“One of the goals of organizing the closing ceremony of Good Governance campaign in every house on the birthday of late former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee is to convey the message of Good Governance of the Government to public welfare” Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said at the closing ceremony of Good Governance. The Chief Minister said that the Government has taken the initiative to take the administration to the people using technology. The ‘Amar Sarkar’ portal an important role in reaching out to the rural people of the state and taking complaints related to Government schemes and services.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister unveiled the report card of Good Governance campaign in every house. Moreover, the Chief Minister unveiled also a leaflet on the ‘Amar Sarkar’ project and also inaugurated the ‘Amar Sarkar’ mobile app.

“Atal Bihari Vajpayee had a dream to take the country to the best. He had no pride and never took sides to work for people. Late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee took the initiative to unite India. Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s dream and efforts are being implemented by the current Prime Minister Narendra Modi”, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma said at the closing ceremony of Good Governance .

Dr. P. K. Chakraborty, Secretary ICA delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. “Two-day exhibition has been organized on the occasion of the closing ceremony of the Good Governance in every household campaign”, Dr. P. K. Chakraborty said. Photographs of various moments of this campaign are being displayed in the exhibition of 8 districts of the state in the premises of at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan, Agartala. He also said in this campaign, the administration went to the villages and worked to achieve 100 percent target. In this campaign, 23 lakh people of the state got access to various projects and services.

Hon’ble Information & Cultural Affairs, Sports, PWD (DWS) Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Hon’ble Fire & Emergency Service and OBC, Minority Welfare Minister Ram Prasad Paul, Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Dipak Majumder, Chief Secretary J.K Sinha, DGP Abitabha Ranjan, Others cabinet ministers, officials and dignitaries were present in the closing ceremony of Good Governance.

In the event, districts, departments, municipal bodies were awarded for successful implementation of the campaign along with a slogan competition in the Good Governance in every household campaign. Dhalai district got the best district award in this campaign. South Tripura district and Gomti district got the second best district award. The Department of Social Welfare and Social Education, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Rural Development was awarded as the first best department. The second best department award was given to the Department of Forestry. Agartala Municipal Corporation and Khowai Municipal council received the award for the best, Ambassa, Kumarghat, Ranirbazar, Dharmanagar got the second award.  Best block award was given to Ampi, Poangbari, Kakraban, Amarpur, Manu and Bamutia blocks. Charilam, Mohanpur, Dasda, Gournagar and Tulashikhar blocks got the second best book award. Annesha Dey (Pratapgarh, Agartala) won first place in slogan competition, Gopinandan Dey (Agartala), Prashanta Sen (Belonia),  Sudhir Chandra Sen (Khowai) and Siddharth Halder (Shibnagar, Agartala) placed second, third, fourth and fifth respectively. The guests gave away the prizes to the winners.
