In view of the news published that the transmission of the Cable Channel Networks of the State will be stopped from February 5, as per the notification of the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the owners of the local electronic media in the State to take initiative to continue broadcasting in the interim subject to registration of PS channels, attention to Chief Minister. Yesterday, the Chief Minister informed the Union Information and Broadcasting Minister about this during his stay in New Delhi and requested him to take initiative in solving the problem. Hon’ble Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur told the Chief Minister that he would take initiatives to resolve the issue at the earliest by talking to the owners of electronic media.
Due to solving the problem, delegation of Tripura Journalists met with Anurag Singh Thakur, Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting in New Delhi today.
