Dharmanagar, Tripura, 29th of June 2026 : Bringing an end to eight years of inactivity, the TGTA office located on DNV Road in Dharmanagar was officially reopened on Sunday. For members of the organization, the occasion marked a moment of emotion, relief, and a fresh beginning.

Under the leadership of Dharmanagar Sub -Divisional Secretary Rupak Bhattacharjee, and with the support of members and local residents, the long-locked office was reopened. Volunteers then carried out extensive cleaning and restoration work throughout the day. The office was decorated with the organization’s flags, and after a long gap, the TGTA flag was hoisted once again.
According to the organization, the office was severely vandalized during an attack in August 2018. Following the incident, it remained closed for years. Leaders of the organization said that the reopening has generated renewed enthusiasm among teachers.
Sub -Divisional Secretary Rupak Bhattacharjee stated that the prolonged closure had disrupted organizational activities and hindered efforts to address teachers’ demands and grievances. With the office now operational again, it will serve as the focal point for future campaigns to secure the legitimate rights and demands of teachers and employees. He further added that the office would not only work for the welfare of teachers but would also become a center for organizing people-oriented programmes and movements aimed at addressing public issues and protecting citizens’ rights. After years of waiting, members of the organization described the reopening of the TGTA office as a significant organizational milestone and a new chapter in strengthening its activities in the region.
