Khowai, Tripura, 24th of August, 2026 : According to the details of the incident, 73-year-old Parbatinath Sarkar, a resident of the Chebri Peknichhara area, was taking her domestic goats near her house when she was suddenly bitten on the leg by a venomous snake.
She immediately rushed home and informed her family about the incident. Her family members quickly took her to Chebri Primary Health Centre around noon for treatment.
The doctor immediately started treatment, and after some time, the elderly woman showed signs of initial improvement. Uttam Adhikari, Vice-Chairman of the Khowai Panchayat Samiti, enquired about her condition and also contacted the attending doctor.
Following the successful treatment of the venomous snake-bite patient at Chebri Primary Health Centre, local residents and Chairman Uttam Adhikari expressed their appreciation and thanked the doctors and healthcare staff for their prompt treatment and care.
