Agartala, Tripura, 28th of July, 2026 : The nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign will be observed from August 9 to 17 this year. The programme will also be organized across Tripura with due dignity and enthusiasm.
In this connection, a preparatory meeting was held today at the Secretariat under the chairmanship of Kiran Gitte, Secretary of the Information and Cultural Affairs Department, Government of Tripura. The meeting discussed various aspects of organizing the campaign in the state.

Director of the Information and Cultural Affairs Department Bimbisar Bhattacharjee stated that this year’s Har Ghar Tiranga campaign will be dedicated to commemorating the 150th anniversary of the patriotic song “Vande Mataram.” He also elaborated on the various guidelines issued by the Union Ministry of Culture for the successful organization of the programme.
Addressing at the meeting, Secretary of Information and Cultural Affairs Department Kiran Gitte advised the participants to organise a series of activities as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, including Har Ghar Tiranga rallies, Tiranga concerts, the installation of Tiranga-themed selfie points, Tiranga rangoli competitions, and special exhibitions showcasing the National Flag and “Vande Mataram.” He also encouraged illumination of government offices as well as prominent private buildings across the state.
As in previous years, the State Government will arrange the sale of the National Flag at various government offices, markets, and other important locations. In this initiative, Self-Help Groups (SHGs) will be assisted by the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM) and the Tripura Urban Livelihood Mission (TULM).
Amidst the other distinguished leaders there were J. Ragul, Director of the Information Technology Department; Tarit Kanti Chakma, CEO of the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM); Dr. Samit Roy Chowdhury, Director of the School Education Department; Animesh Debbarma, Director of the Higher Education Department; along with senior officials of the Information and Cultural Affairs Department were present at the meeting. District Magistrates from all districts of Tripura participated in the meeting via video conferencing.
