Hon’ble President Of India Droupadi Murmu Virtually Launches Ayushman Bhav Campaign.

Hon’ble President of India Droupadi Murmu virtually launched the Ayushman Bhav campaign from Raj Bhavan, Gandhinagar on Wednesday (13th September, 2023).

Speaking on the occasion, the President said the goal of ‘Ayushman Bhav Campaign – no person should be left behind and no village should be left behind – would make our country successful in achieving the objective of Universal Health Coverage.  She added that if every person and every family stays healthy, then the resolve to build a healthy India would be fulfilled. She was happy to note that a Multi-Ministerial approach has been adopted to achieve this goal. She stated that everyone’s cooperation would be helpful in achieving such big goals.

The President said that providing Ayushman cards to all the beneficiaries; organizing Ayushman meetings to make villagers aware about health, hygiene and nutrition; organising Ayushman Melas; and arranging visits of specialist doctors at the Community Health Centers once a week under the initiative Ayushman Apke Dwar 3.0, are praiseworthy steps.

The President said that India is moving forward with great enthusiasm in adopting new technology and working methods in many fields. She was happy to note that ‘Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission’ was launched in September 2021. She expressed confidence that India would set the example of digital inclusion in the field of healthcare services also like other sectors.

The Ayushman Bhav Campaign is a comprehensive nationwide healthcare initiative of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare that aims to provide saturation coverage of healthcare services, reaching every village and town in the country. This Campaign will be implemented during the ‘Seva Pakhwada’ from September 17 to October 2, 2023.

After inaugurating the nationwide Ayushman Bhav campaign, Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha launched the statewide campaign through a video conference at the Secretariat, Agartala on today. In the event, Chief Minister said that health is the main wealth Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream is to build a healthy India. Therefore, the Prime Minister is working by taking various plans with the aim of providing health services to the last person in the society. Ayushman Bhav Abhiyan programme has been undertaken by Union Health Ministry with the objective of providing health services to rural and urban areas and making people aware about various health services. The State Government will also organize ‘Seva Pakhwada’ programme from September 17, 2023 to October 2, 2023 as part of the Ayushman Bhabha programme.

The Chief Minister said that due to the sincere efforts of the Prime Minister, the health system of the country has improved greatly. The health system of the country has also been praised at the recently held G-20 conference in India. In addition, Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY), the country’s largest health scheme, has been praised all over the world. Around 13 lakh Ayushman cards have been issued to the beneficiaries in the state under the Ayushman Bharat Jan Arogya Yojana, the country’s largest health scheme launched with the sincere efforts of the Prime Minister. Over 2 lakh beneficiaries have benefited from this scheme. The state government has taken the initiative to launch a new scheme called Chief Minister’s Jan Arogya Yojana for those families in the state who are not covered under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. For this, the necessary funds have been kept in the budget of the current financial year.

Chief Secretary J.K Sinha, Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Department Dr. Debasish Basu, Secretary of the Rural Development Department Dr. Sandeep R. Rathore,  Secretary of Social Welfare and Social Education Department Tapas Roy, Director of National Health Mission D.K Chakma, other dignitaries and officials were present in the virtually launching  ceremony.

As a part of the Ayushman Bhabha programme, the Seva Pakhwada will be carried out in three stages from the birth anniversary of the Hon’ble PM (Sept 17) to Gandhi Jayanti (Oct 02).”, Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha tweeted.
