Mega SHG Workshop Organized In Gandatwisa.

Gandatwisa, 7th of November 2023 :  A one-day workshop and loan distribution program amidst self-help groups was held on Tuesday in  Gandatwisa. The programme was held  the initiative of the forest department of Gandatwisa sub-division of Dhalai district under Gomati Wildlife Sanctuary. Raima Vallely MLA Nandita Debbarma Reang inaugurated the event by lighting the Mangal Pradeep in the crowded venue at twelve o’clock on Tuesday. Besides, Sub-Divisional administrator  Arindam Das, Dumburnagar BAC Chairman Premsadhan Tripura, Dhalai District Forest Officer Amit Debbarma, Headmaster of Gandatwisa HS School Khajendra Tripura, Sub-Divisional Forest Officer of Gandatwisa Gautam Debbarma and other forest officers working in the division were also present on the occasion.

On that day, the hall was full to the brim. About eighty self help group members from different areas of the sub-division along with many forest and wildlife lovers from different ADC villages were present. SDFO Gautam Debvarma delivered the welcome address on the occasion. Various speakers addressed the program by requesting everyone to pay attention to how to become financially independent by adopting simple methods through various projects. In the opening speech, MLA Nandita Debvarma requested the longevity of all the SHG groups of the subdivision to become more financially self-sufficient by utilizing the cash provided by the government. The opening song was performed by the girls of Gandatwisa HS School. Garia dance was performed by the students of the said school.

On the said occasion, the present guests handed over loan checks of 1 lakh rupees to each self-help group of  different areas of the sub-division. At the end of the event, the forest officials arranged a grand feast for all.
