Dharmanagar, Tripura, 13th of May 2026 : In an effort to make women associated with Self-Help Groups financially self-reliant, a distribution programme of 50 mobile stalls was organized on Wednesday (13th May, 2026) in Jubarajnagar, North Tripura.

The initiative was undertaken by the Jubarajnagar Panchayat Samiti, where mobile stalls were formally handed over to members of various Self-Help Groups.Among those present at the programme were Jubarajnagar Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Aparna Sinha, the BDO of Jubarajnagar Block, Vice-Chairman of North Tripura Zilla Parishad Bhabatosh Das, Jubarajnagar Mandal President Kiranshankar Debnath, officials of TRLM, and several other dignitaries.
Addressing at the event, the guests stated that various government welfare schemes are playing a significant role in making women economically independent. They added that such initiatives would create opportunities for small businesses among rural women and help improve the financial condition of their families.
The event created a festive atmosphere in the area. Members of the Self-Help Groups expressed satisfaction with the initiative and demanded that such projects be expanded further in the future.In addition, various sports equipment were also distributed among the youth across 20 Gram Panchayats under the Jubarajnagar constituency.
