Dharmanagar, Tripura, 25th of June 2026 : Complaints have once again surfaced regarding the parking of motorcycles on the veranda in front of the CT Scan Building at Dharmanagar District Hospital in North Tripura. During a visit to the hospital on Wednesday, it was observed that some individuals working at the hospital were parking their motorcycles on the veranda of the CT Scan Building, causing significant inconvenience to patients and their attendants.

Patients visiting the hospital alleged that parking motorcycles in front of important service facilities creates obstacles for people seeking medical treatment. The situation becomes particularly difficult for elderly and seriously ill patients. Many expressed frustration that despite the issue persisting for a long time, no effective solution has yet been implemented.

When contacted, the hospital’s Medical Superintendent, Dr. Bhaskar Das, stated that the hospital administration has already discussed the matter. He informed that work on creating a designated parking area is nearly complete and that a new parking zone will be operational very soon. He expressed hope that the new arrangement would significantly reduce disorder within the hospital premises.Responding to questions regarding CCTV surveillance at the hospital’s Trauma Care Centre, Dr. Das said that a formal CCTV system has not yet been installed there.

However, he assured that the matter would be discussed and necessary steps would be taken in the near future. It is worth mentioning that incidents of motorcycle theft have occurred in the past from the area in front of the Trauma Care Centre. As a result, patients and staff working at the centre have demanded stronger security measures and the prompt installation of CCTV cameras.Concerned citizens believe that ensuring proper parking management and strengthening security arrangements at a vital institution like the district hospital has now become an urgent necessity.
