Dharmanagar, Tripura, 13th of April 2026 : The election to the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTADC) is being conducted peacefully across various polling stations in North Tripura district. Since early morning, long queues of voters and a high level of enthusiasm have been observed.BJP candidate from the 1 No. Damchhara –Jampui constituency, Rabindra Reang, cast his vote at Purba Rahumchhara JB School. After voting, he expressed optimism about his victory and welcomed the active participation of people in the democratic process.

Meanwhile, Bipin Debbarma, General Secretary of the state BJP and candidate from the Demchhara–Kachuchhara constituency, exercised his franchise at Dinabandhu Para JB School. After casting his vote, he urged voters to participate freely and fearlessly in the election.In Halampara ADC Village under the Yubarajnagar Assembly constituency in North Tripura, around 95% voter turnout was reported before 1 PM. Due to proactive administrative measures, a peaceful atmosphere prevailed throughout the area, with no reports of any untoward incidents.Overall, observers believe that the high voter turnout and enthusiasm reflect the people’s strong faith in the democratic process.
