Shiv Chaturdashi Fair And Block Based Exhibitions At Khowai.

Khowai, 8th of March, 2024 : With the initiative of Information & Cultural Affairs Department, Khowai RD Block and Fair committee organized Shiv Chaturdashi Fair and Block Based exhibitions at Sarat Chandra H.S School ground, Khowai on Friday (8th March, 2024). The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the Hon’ble SC Welfare, ARD, Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das and other dignitaries.

“If we can keep our religion alive then our tradition will live. Today is a historic day. On the one hand, International Women’s Day and Shiv Chaturdashi fair as well as the one year anniversary of the Government on March 8, the Government took oath for the second time on this day.”,  Hon’ble SC Welfare, ARD, Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das said at the inauguration ceremony of Shiv Chaturdashi Fair and Block Based exhibitions. The minister also added that women have created half of the good things that have been created in this world. In other words, without women’s power, the development of the society is not possible.

In today’s programme apart from the SC Welfare, ARD Minister, MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury, Zilla Parishad President Jaydeb Debbarma, Member of Khowai Zilla Parishad Subrata Majumder, Chairman of Khowai Municipal Council Debasish Nath Sharma, Panchayat Samiti Vice Chairman Tapas Kanti Das and many other dignitaries were present in the inauguration ceremony.
