Tripura Gramin Bank : Business Growth 13.60%, ₹14085.14 Cr As On 31st March, 2025 From ₹12398.55 Cr As On 31st March, 2024.

Agartala, Tripura, 9th of May, 2025 : Authority of Tripura Gramin Bank press conference organized at the Head Office of Tripura Gramin Bank,  Abhoynagar, Agartala on Friday (9th May, 2025).

Tripura Gramin Bank’s business reached 14,850 crore in the financial year 2024-25. This is an increase of about 13.60 percent compared to the previous two financial years. Satyendra Singh. Chairman of Tripura Gramin Bank, gave this information at a press conference at the conference hall of the head office of Tripura Gramin Bank. He said that Tripura Gramin Bank  has 150 branches, 12 small branches and 2 mobile ATM vans in the state. Out of this, 1 mobile ATM van was inaugurated by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in 2023. Tripura Gramin bank has 39 ATMs. Out of these, 25 ATMs are in rural areas. He said that Tripura Gramin Bank is the people’s own bank. He said that in the last financial year 2023-24, the net profit of this batch was 27 crore. Which increased to 104 crore in the last fiscal year 2024-25.  

“There are many self-help groups under this bank. Efforts have been made to take self-help groups forward. In the last financial year, a large amount of loans have been given to the agriculture-based sector. These include cow, pig, duck, cultivation, poultry farming, etc. In the last financial year, this bank gave loans to 12,048 self-help groups. He said, we always try to help the rural economy as well as various community development, including MSMEs, retail shops, and self-initiated people in the city.” Chairman of Tripura Gramin Bank added.

The Chairman of Tripura Gramin Bank said that in the last financial year, loans were given to youth under schemes like Swavalamban is a Self-employment Generation Programme (SEGP), PM SVANidhi , PM-Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Atal Pension Yojana (APY) etc. In the last two financial years, loans were given for the construction of 2 hospitals. He said that earlier no kind of digital facility was available in  Tripura Gramin Bank. At present, this bank has facilities like internet banking, mobile banking, UPI, WhatsApp banking, AEPS, self-service printing machine, cheque clearing etc.

The Chairman of Tripura Gramin Bank also added that customer service points have been introduced for making payments through fingerprint technology. For this, every officer and employee has been trained in this new technology. He said that this bank has secured 1st and 2nd place in Atal Pension Yojana (APY) several times. In the last financial year’s Saras Fair, this bank was awarded in the best departmental category. He also added the that there are 28 regional commercial banks in India. Out of them, Tripura Gramin Bank is in a good position. He said that efforts will be made to develop the infrastructure of 28 branches of Tripura Gramin Bank this year. He expressed hope that this bank will set an example in the country’s economy in the near future.
