New Delhi, Delhi / Agartala, Tripura, 20th of May, 2026 : Tripura Gramin Bank (TGB) once again brought laurels by securing the position of 2nd Best Performer among 28 Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) under the Atal Pension Yojana (APY) during the APY Annual Felicitation Programme 2026 held today at ITC Maurya, New Delhi.

The prestigious programme was organized by the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) and attended by senior dignitaries from the Government of India, banking sector and financial institutions. The award was received by Tripura Gramin Bank Chairman Shri Satyendra Singh in the presence of distinguished officials including Shri M. Nagaraju, Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, Shri Sanjay Lohia, Special Secretary, DFS, and other senior dignitaries as mentioned in the official programme agenda.
The programme was also attended by FI Manager Shri Ramlal Choudhury representing the bank.
Tripura Gramin Bank has consistently demonstrated remarkable performance under APY over the last few financial years. As per the bank’s performance data, TGB achieved:
203% achievement in FY 2022-23
197% achievement in FY 2023-24
351% achievement in FY 2024-25
185% achievement in FY 2025-26

The bank recorded 27,787 active enrolments against the annual target of 15,000 during FY 2025-26, reflecting its strong commitment towards social security coverage and financial inclusion initiatives across Tripura.
The recognition once again highlights Tripura Gramin Bank’s dedicated efforts in expanding pension coverage among rural citizens and strengthening the objectives of financial inclusion under the Atal Pension Yojana.
