Dharmanagar, Tripura, 13th of May 2026 : On Wednesday, the District Magistrate and Collector of North Tripura, Chandni Chandran, visited the Tongibari–Kameswar Mouja area under Dharmanagar subdivision to assess the feasibility of establishing a proposed satellite town in the region.

Accompanying her were Jadab Lal Nath, the Director of TUDA, Dharmanagar SDM Debjani Chowdhury, along with other administrative officials.During the visit, the administration conducted an on-site inspection of the land, communication facilities, and the overall potential for future urban development in the area. Sources said that the administration is seriously considering the development of a planned satellite town equipped with modern infrastructure.
Officials also interacted with locals and reviewed various aspects related to the possible implementation of the project. Concerned quarters believe that if the initiative is successfully implemented, it could open a new chapter in the overall urban development of Dharmanagar subdivision.
