Kailashahar, Tripura, 29th of July, 2026 : Benefits of developmental programmes and government services can be delivered to the common people only through active coordination between the public representatives and administration. We should be sincere enough to ensure that no lapses occur in doing so, stated the Hon’ble Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport and Tourism minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Wednesday (29th July, 2026) while addressing a district level review meeting of Unakoti district held at the Kailashahar circuit house.

The Minister said that the people elect public representatives to get benefits of government services and development schemes and the administration is responsible for delivering such benefits to them. That is why any gap in the coordination between them is likely to affect the developmental activities. He further said that a complete report on the development activities of various departments will be prepared and submitted to the Chief Minister. On the basis of that report future plan of action will be decided considering the needs and priorities of different districts.
The Food Minister informed that this kind of review meeting will be regularly held now onward. In every meeting success or implementation status of the previous decisions will be assessed and accordingly necessary steps will be taken. He said in the coming days a district level beneficiaries conference will be organised and the Chief Minister will also remain present there. He said, the state has attained remarkable success in terms of SHGs, social pension disbursement, agriculture, education, health sector. Under the leadership of the Chief Minister this journey of transformation will continue in the future as well.

Representatives of various departments presented updates on their ongoing projects and development activities. Detailed discussion was held on the present status, achievement, and challenges. The public representatives also put forward their views on those issues. The review meeting was also attended by the Sabhadhipati of Unakoti Zila Parishad Amalendu Das, MDC Dhirendra Debbarma and Ratish Tripura, Chairperson of Kailashahar MC Chapala Debroy, Chairperson of Kumarghat MC
