Hyderabad, Telangana, 25th of September, 2026 : In KPHB Colony, 7th Phase, Kukatpally, Hyderabad, Ganesh Chaturthi has never been only a festival—it has been a promise kept year after year. For the past 20 years, the Sri Vinayaka Youth Association has been organizing the celebrations with a devotion that feels personal, and a discipline that becomes a family tradition. The pooja, the songs, the shared preparations, and the community joy have steadily united generations—reminding everyone that true faith is not confined to rituals, but lives in togetherness.
This year, the spirit of worship shone especially through Annadanam (community meals). Prudhvi Reddy, General Secretary of the Telangana Basketball Association, supported the celebration with a generous donation for the community meal. His contribution added a beautiful meaning to the celebrations: that serving others is also a form of praying—feeding bodies with love, and hearts with gratitude.
And then came a moment that made the entire crowd feel something deeper—something like hope. During the Laddu auction, Marredu Jay Sai Vihash—currently working in the UK—won the laddu with a remarkable bid of ₹1,75,000. Though he was not physically present in India, he never allowed distance to become separation. He participated in the auction and completed the process online, coordinating with his sister Marredu Rishika Sai to ensure the bid was finalized.
When Jay Sai Vihash spoke about his heart, everyone listened. He expressed heartfelt regret that he couldn’t be with his family for Vinayaka Chavithi. But his words carried a devotion that turned sadness into light. He shared that he would be sending the auctioned laddu to his family—so that the blessings of Lord Ganesha would reach them not just as a gift, but as a message: “The festival is still ours, even if the world is far.”
The celebrations also reflected the tireless efforts of the Sri Vinayaka Youth Association members, including Vijay Rama Raju, Venkata Sai Krishna, Chandu, Sai Krishna, Harsha, Kotari, Dinesh, Surya, Srikanth Reddy, Sri Ram, Gopi Reddy, Kiran, Akshin, Jathin, Rishi, Satya, Lok Ram, Prakash, and Venky—who worked relentlessly to make every moment meaningful for everyone in the community.
In the end, this Ganesh Chaturthi carried a gentle but powerful truth: Lord Ganesha comes to remove obstacles—not only in our lives, but also in our relationships, our distances, and our silences. Through prayer, charity, and love rooted in family, the festival became a bridge—bringing people together one heartfelt moment at a time.
