Dharmanagar, Tripura, 12th of May 2026 : Several complaints regarding lost and stolen mobile phones are being reported regularly from different areas under various police stations of North Tripura district. The North District Police administration has been treating every complaint with utmost importance and priority.

Under the leadership of Superintendent of Police of North Tripura district, Avinash Rai, the district Cyber Cell along with different police stations successfully recovered a total of 30 lost and stolen mobile phones through the CEIR Portal. The estimated market value of the recovered mobile phones is around ₹6 lakh.
According to police sources, investigation and search operations are still continuing to trace several other missing mobile phones. The recovered mobile phones were formally handed over to their rightful owners at the office of the Superintendent of Police, North Tripura district. The district police stated that North Tripura Police continues to play a strict and active role in maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety and security of citizens. People have also been urged to remain alert and immediately report incidents of lost or stolen mobile phones to the nearest police station.
