“Somnath Swabhiman Parva” Held In Dharmanagar With Unity And Spiritual Fervour.

Dharmanagar, Tripura, 12th of May 2026 : Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi offering Jalabhishek and special prayers at the sacred Shivling of Somnath Temple in Gujarat, the district-level “Somnath Swabhiman Parva” celebration for North Tripura was observed with devotion on Monday (11th May, 2026) at the Dharmanagar Town Kalibari premises.The spiritually charged event witnessed the participation of a large number of devotees and followers of Sanatan Dharma. The temple premises resonated with Vedic chants,prayer rituals, and prayers dedicated to Lord Mahadev, creating a deeply devotional atmosphere. The primary objective of the programme was to awaken the spirit of Sanatan culture and spread the message of national unity and social harmony across society.

Among those present at the event were Tripura Government Minister Santana Chakma, newly elected Dharmanagar MLA Jahar Chakraborty, Bagbasa MLA Jadab Lal Nath, Panisagar MLA Binay Bhushan Das, former Chairperson of the State Women’s Commission Barnali Goswami, Dharmanagar Municipal Council Chairperson Mitali Das Sen, and North Tripura Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Aparna Nath, along with several distinguished personalities from the district. Addressing the gathering, the guests stated that the values of Sanatan Dharma form one of the strongest foundations of Indian culture and heritage.

They described “Somnath Swabhiman Parva” not merely as a religious programme, but as a symbol of national pride, spiritual consciousness, and cultural unity.The entire event remained immersed in a devotional and religious ambience that deeply moved the attendees. The guests also expressed hope that more such religious and cultural programmes would be organised in the future to promote harmony, values, and the preservation of tradition in society.
